She was born Feb. 8, 1909, in Sanitaria Springs, N.Y. She graduated from Good Shepard School of Nursing, Syracuse University. She lived many years in Delhi, N.Y., was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and active in community affairs. Upon her husband's retirement, she moved to Englewood, Fla., and after her husband's death, to Cape Coral, Fla. She is survived by her daughter, Joan D. Lach (Mrs. Borys Lach); grandchildren, Janet Tindall, Tamara Howard and Michael Lach; and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, John B. DeGelleke; and her husband, Ralph R. DeGelleke, retired principal at Delaware Academy. Memorial service was held in Cape Coral. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Williamson, N.Y., buried Sunnyside Cemetery, Williamson, N.Y., daughter of Clark A. Berray and Kathryne E. Andrews |

Frazer, birth 3 Nov 1911, died 1 Jan 2000 Brighton Gardens, Virginia Beacht, US, Marie DeGelleke VIRGINIA BEACH -- Marie DeGelleke, a resident of Brighton Gardens, died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2000. Mrs. DeGelleke, a native of Long Island, N.Y., lived at 103 Lenox Ave., Lynbrook N.Y., for 56 years before moving to Virginia Beach in 1995. She was a retired secretary from Lynbrook High School. She was an active member of St. James United Methodist Church prior to moving from Lynbrook. She was the daughter of the late Arthur C. and Florence E. Frazer who owned and operated the well-known Red Robin restaurant on Merrick Road in Lynbrook. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Bob Eels of Virginia Beach; foster daughter and son-in-law, June and Harry Eid of Winsted, Conn.; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Diane and Bob Ottmann of Wilmington, N.C.; granddaughter, Sharon Eels; grandson, Donald Eels; stepgranddaughter, Lori Ottmann; stepgrandsons, Curt and David Ottmann; foster granddaughters, Debbie Kerr, Darlene Grant and Dawn Renfrew; and 12 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held in Greenfield Cemetery, Hempstead, N.Y., at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. James United Methodist Church, Forest Avenue and St. James Place, Lynbrook, NY 11563.
